AR637T+ DSMX 6-Channel AS3X+ & SAFE Telemetry Receiver

Spektrum AR637T+ 6-Channel Receiver Overview

The Spektrum™ AR637T+ 6 Channel AS3X+ Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2® and DSMX® capable receiver with a compact footprint to fit in a wide range of aircraft. The AR637T+ is a full-range 6-channel receiver with built-in AS3X+® and SAFE® stabilization. The all-new AS3X+ stabilization algorithm creates better flight performance, improved sensor accuracy and data rate, and provides pilots with a generationally different feel compared to AS3X. There is no delay in control response or limits on control throws. You'll simply feel like you're flying an expertly tuned model that does exactly what you want.

AS3X+ and SAFE are programmed and set up directly from your Spektrum transmitter* with an easy 3-step Forward Programming initial setup. To use SAFE and AS3X+ technology with the AR637T receiver, the receiver needs to be set up with a compatible Spektrum transmitter. With Forward Programming, there is no need for apps or cables to program or make changes while at the flying field.

The AR637T+ features full-range telemetry and an integrated barometer to provide altitude and vario telemetry data without additional purchase. XBUS, RPM, voltage, and temperature ports can be used to add additional telemetry sensors available separately. It also features an SRXL2 port for an SRXL2 Remote Receiver (SPM9747), available separately, to add additional RF path redundancy. An SRXL2/Bind/Program/Batt servo header is available to connect Smart devices, program and update the receiver, bind with a traditional bind plug, or connect a battery. The AR637T+ also features a bind button for easy binding with no plugs necessary, offers both SmartSafe™ technology and Hold Last, as well as preset failsafe types set through Forward Programming. Additionally, Smart Transmitter Model Files allows BNF models to be stored on the receiver to automatically setup the model at bind.

Please Note: The DX7S and DX8 Gen 1 Spektrum Transmitters will not display Altitude or Variometer telemetry with the AR637T receiver.

These transmitters do not support Forward Programming devices: DX6i, DX6G2 (EU Version), DX7, DX7S, DX7SE, DX7G2 (EU Version), DX8, non-computer transmitters.

See www.spektrumrc.com for the latest updates to your receivers and transmitters.

NEXT GENERATION IN FLIGHT STABILIZATION

The all-new AS3X+ features a vastly improved stabilization algorithm that has been rigorously tested by experts throughout the hobby. The system is even easier to tune and can be easily optimized for any type of aircraft you fly. Never again spend hours tuning and tweaking until you get your aircraft locked in. We've been able to set up most aircraft in less than five minutes including the first flight tuning.

Key AS3X+ improvements include:

  • Stop Lock and Release Rate parameters
  • Heading Hold improvements
  • Improved gryo filtering
  • Canard and Thrust Vectoring support

SMART TRANSMITTER MODEL FILES SUPPORT

Smart Transmitter Model Files is a new feature on the AR637T+ receiver that makes transmitter programming the easiest has ever been. It consists of a set of transmitter configuration parameters that are stored within the receiver's model file. When binding to a receiver containing one of these model files, the user will be prompted to download said model file and overwrite the currently selected transmitter model with the one stored on the receiver. This will provide the user with an easy and simple way to acquire a transmitter model setup for their BNF model without the need to set it up themselves or search for and download the corresponding model online.

Note: Supported transmitters currently are the iX20, iX14, and NX transmitters with the latest firmware updates.

FORWARD PROGRAMMING

You can configure the AR637T+ receiver wirelessly, directly from any compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Programming menu*. No separate computer or mobile device is needed for setup and adjustments.

SAFE® TECHNOLOGY

SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes help pilots avoid over-controlling their models. SAFE uses AS3X+ to deliver normal flight performance, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from getting in extreme attitudes.

SMART TELEMETRY

To enjoy the full benefits of Smart™ Technology, use the AR637T+ receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. Vital telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature, and RPM is sent directly to your transmitter in real time. For more information on Smart Technology please visit our Spektrum Smart Technology page.

INTEGRATED BAROMETER

The Spektrum™ AR637T+ receiver features an integrated barometer (built-in pressure sensor) to provide altitude and vario telemetry data without the need to purchase additional sensor modules.

SAFE® PANIC RECOVERY

Sometimes called a bailout mode, Panic is a SAFE Stabilization mode that can return an airplane to level flight from any attitude. It is usually assigned to a momentary button.
